Karibu Rungwe Tea & Tours!

Rungwe Tea & Tours is a community based tourism program initiated by the tea farmers association of Rungwe (RSTGA). An association of 15,000 tea farmers, spread over 108 villages in Rungwe. It is the only smallholder tea association in Tanzania that is fair trade registered!

Inspired by the fair trade principle, the farmers have started ‘fair tourism’. Visitors pay a fair tour fee that includes a village development fee. With this fee the villages can build classrooms and buy schoolbooks or medical equipment for the local dispensary.

By booking a tour with Rungwe Tea & Tours you can be sure that you will see the most beautiful parts of Rungwe, meet the local people and support the villages that you visit!
